Bombay Mittai is a Comedy - Drama - Romance film that celebrates every facet of friendship.

Seenu, the lead protagonist, Vishnu, Sundhar and Rocky are long time friends who have an annual tradition of meeting up at a different locale every year to celebrate Rocky’s birthday. The same tradition ensues this year, with the friends deciding to embark on a road trip to celebrate Rocky’s birthday in his farmhouse at Karwar in their usual flamboyant style and enjoy their annual reunion. But trouble spells on them in the form of Adithi, the female lead who is invited along by Vishnu for their road trip. Adithi is an exceedingly pretty girl who hails from North India, is friendly and carefree and loves travelling, joining the boys in the hopes of visiting some of the most beautiful places in Karnataka.

All the three boys, Seenu, Vishnu and Sundhar immediately angle for Adithi’s attention, the friends trying to foil each other’s plans of impressing her, resulting in the movie’s most hilarious situations. Vishnu who knows Adithi prior to the trip had already harbored feelings for her, of which she is unaware of and is further annoyed by his friends antics. Unbeknownst to all of them, Adithi has started developing feelings for one of them. By the end of the day, they arrive at Rocky’s farmhouse, where his birthday party is in full swing. Rocky being arrogant and used to getting whatever he desires misbehaves with Adithi when she doesn’t respond to his flirtations.

This leads to a big fight between Rocky and his friends, who choose Adithi’s integrity over their loyalty to Rocky, thus severing their ties of friendship with him. What was to be an exchange of a few blows turns nasty by accident and Rocky gets greviously injured, sending a ripple of shock through the other three friends. Fearing the consequences, the three admit Rocky in the nearest hospital.

During this time, Kovi- Papanna, Rocky’s personal assistant, steals money from Rocky’s farmhouse and himself reports the theft to the police blaming Rocky’s friends for it. The three friends get wind of their role in a burglary they never did partake in and escape from the hospital, in the fear of being caught. But Jayanna, a competent Police Inspector from Karwar tracks them down and arrests them on double charges of attemped murder on Rocky and theft.

Will Rocky live to tell the truth? Will the three friends be able to clear their name? Will broken friendships be mended? Will Adithi be able to save the one she loves?
